Day 7 - Korean Baptist Church

At the beginning of 2010, the Korean Baptist Church of Denver dreamed of having a youth evangelistic conference and thus requested funds from the Colorado Missions Offering. They received $1,200.00 and with that were able to have a successful conference.

The goal of the conference was to invite 2nd generation Koreans to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and at same time challenge each young person to dedicate their lives for the sake of missions. The two day conference included general sessions and workshops. The workshops focused on the meanings of the cross and salvation, healing of inner heart, and missions. Funds also provided food for the event. Leaders selected a location that would be central for all people to participate. Announcements were made for the event through newspapers, posters, and church announcements.

This project brought 11 Korean churches in Colorado together, including several denominations. Estimates are that 170 people participated in the conference. As a result of the conference, 20 young people decided to participate in short term mission trips and more than 40 have decided to pray for evangelism opportunities to young people in Colorado. Several churches agreed to work together to form a praise team from among the Korean churches.

The Korean Baptist Church expresses their appreciation to all the churches that have given to the Colorado Missions Offering because every dollar can bring so much impact on people's lives as well as the ministries in Jesus Christ.

Pastor John Lee asks Colorado Baptists to pray that he is able to enlist additional leaders with wisdom from above. Please pray that he is filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Also pray for more workers for the harvest to come and join the spiritual movement of our Abba Father.
