Bear Valley Multi-Housing Ministry

LuAnn Turner serves as the Multi-housing Ministry Coordinator with Bear Valley Baptist Church in Lakewood. During PowerPlant, she had a group of students doing ministry at four multi-housing sites. These students performed a concert and dinner at Green Gables community; hosted a carnival and VBS at 13th and Reed Street - a ministry house that is just starting in that community; led another carnival and VBS at Jewell Park apartments; and held a carnival at Edelweiss community. LuAnn was very encouraged by this group of students.

Some highlights for the week, for LuAnn, included: seeing the young man put on the clown costume and literally become a clown; having 18 kids arrive at 13th and Reed to hear the Gospel while meeting some of the adults in that neighborhood; seeing the folks at Green Gables relax in the grass and enjoy the worship music; and being with the crowd at Edelweiss while Karen and Steve gave impromtu guitar lessons.
