ABIDE: in the Power, Presence and Purpose of Christ, was the theme and focus of the 57th annual meeting of Colorado Baptists. Messengers and guests gathered October 16-17, 2012, at Vista Grande Baptist Church in Colorado Springs where they were welcomed by Todd Belmear, Vista Grande’s Minister of Education. One hundred seventy registered messengers representing 78 of Colorado Baptists’ 245 credentialed churches and other guests were in attendance.

"We in Oklahoma are very pleased with the overwhelming cooperation between the two states," said Sam Porter, Partnership and Volunteer Specialist for the Baptist General Convention Of Oklahoma. Sam and his wife Sheryl attended the Colorado Baptist 2012 State Convention in Colorado Springs.
Sam was able to make many new contacts with pastors seeking partnerships with Oklahoma churches and associations.
"Scores of churches have traveled to Colorado and many Colorado churches have even made the trip to Oklahoma for youth camps, partnership building with congregations, conferences and conventions," said Sam Porter.

In 2011, Colorado Baptists commissioned local artist, Richard Marks, to create a series of four paintings depicting Nicy Murphy’s vision of Missions in Colorado.
“It is because I have drunk from the Water of Life that I can paint the way I do,” says Richard Marks.
Prints are now for sale. A signed artist proof is $150 unframed and $750 with an archival frame. The 11 X 16 print is $75 unframed and $175 with the frame. All proceeds will go toward Colorado Missions Offering in honor of Nicy Murphy.
