On Mission Celebration during Annual Meeting

CDA Annual Meeting & “On Mission Celebration”
Mt. Valley BC, Howard ~ September 16-17, 2009

Following the 51st CDA Annual Meeting hosted by Mountain Valley Baptist Church in Howard, the CDA “On Mission Celebration” began with our On Mission Fair, on September 19th. Our twelve guest missionaries set up presentations on their ministries that varied widely and stretched across Colorado, out across the US from California to Georgia, and reached even far away into Asia and Africa. During five services, the missionaries rotated among the twelve participating churches here in CDA, preaching and sharing about the ministries to which God has called them. There were excellent reports of the level of interest and mission concern that resulted from this great event. A very measurable indication of the appreciation of our congregations was the love-offering taken by each church; after dividing the total amount among the twelve missionaries, each received just over $450 as an honorarium. We are still thanking God for demonstrating the great expanse of His mission work across our nation and around the world and showing us how our churches are partners in that Kingdom work.

CDA expresses special appreciation to the Mountain Valley Baptist Church of Howard for hosting our CDA Annual Meeting, the special luncheon and our OMC Missionary Fair! Their hard work and generosity made the whole event a great experience for the 79 persons who attended (including the 12 missionaries).
