Hi, my name is Wynn Greene, and I am the Multi-Housing Missions (MHM) Coordinator for Colorado Baptists. A native of Youngstown Ohio I attended college in Ohio, and completed graduate school in Colorado. A retired Air Force Officer I bring a varied number of life and work experiences ranging from law enforcement, nuclear security, anti-terrorism, information technology, social work, youth leadership development, to purpose driven youth ministry.
My greatest passion is encouraging others to reach all of God’s people for Christ by living out a sermon before sharing a single passage of scripture. As Christians, we are all commissioned to be like Christ, so that we can then go and do like Christ. In my opinion, MHM provides me with the perfect venue to share the love of Christ by meeting the practical needs of others on a monthly, and sometimes weekly basis, so that I then “earn the right” to share the gospel with them. In other words, participating in MHM is like going on a mission trip without needing a passport.
My role as the Multi-Housing Ministry Coordinator is sequential and clear:
- enlist as many believers as possible to start praying for the souls of residents living in these multi-housing communities;
- get permission from the MH management staff to minister to their residents on site;
- connect a local church with a multi-housing community in their area;
- identify an indigenous or on-site person of faith that we could disciple and raise up to lead an on-going ministry;
- partner with the management staff and the indigenous person to implement ways to meet the physical or emotional needs of residents within their community; and
- then earn the right to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those residents that are willing to receive the gospel.
