The executive board of the Colorado Baptist General Convention reviews Convention reports and conducts and oversees Convention business when the Convention is not in annual session. The board has three scheduled meetings during the year, in January, May and September. Reports from the executive board meetings are included in the Book of Reports that is presented in October of each year at the Annual Meeting of Colorado Baptists. Current Convention and Executive Board Officers are: Tree Cooper, President; Willie Isaacson, 1st Vice President; Rolland Kenneson, 2nd Vice President.

Task Force Report to 2010 Convention

Executive Board

During the 2010 Colorado Baptists Annual Meeting, in Breckenridge CO, Dr. Bob Bender, Chair of the Mission / Structure / Strategy Task Force, issued a progress report and their initial recommendations to the convention. If affirmed the current vision and values of Colorado Baptists will remain unchanged and the purpose statement, structure and measurables will be redefined.

During the first half 2011, members of the Task Force and Executive Board will be going from Association to Association meeting with our church leaders, listening to their feedback and getingt their insight on the proposed changes. Finally, beginning in June 2011, the Task Force will meet to review and revise their report and prepare a final presentation, including a time line for implementation, to the Convention in October of 2011.
