A Statement from Dr. Nathan Lorick:
Colorado Baptists are deeply grieved by the occurrences of sexual abuse in Southern Baptist Churches as reported in the Houston Chronicle. We believe that any form of sexual abuse is absolutely wrong and sinful. We stand with those who are victims of abuse and will do all we can to assist them in their journey towards healing. We will work fervently with the leaders of the Southern Baptist Convention to pursue changes that will help all SBC churches to be a safe place. We also want to encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse to report to law officials immediately. We are praying for all the victims and their families as they walk through these very painful days.
